Since childhood, I have been deeply curious, and from an early age, I found myself contemplating life’s great questions —about who we are, why we’re here, and what really matters. This passion for understanding initially led me to train as a scientist. However, I eventually changed direction, driven by a profound sense of unhappiness.
I was living with many fears and psychological struggles, including low self-confidence and difficulty recognising and expressing my emotions. I felt dissociated from my body, unable to connect authentically with others, and burdened by shame.
After graduating in biochemistry, I left the world of science and began a journey of psychological and emotional healing, alongside a search for meaning in my life. I returned to university, this time to study philosophy, while also exploring yoga traditions, personal development, and Buddhist meditation.
After completing my degree in philosophy, I moved to the United Kingdom and began training as a psychotherapist. During this period, I visited Gaia House—a Buddhist meditation retreat centre in Devon—on several occasions. After attending numerous retreats, I eventually joined the residential community. I lived at Gaia House for three years, serving as the volunteer coordinator. This experience of communal living, service, and ongoing contact with various Dharma teachers deepened my understanding of meditation and enriched me personally. I later trained as a Gaia House Community Dharma Leader (CDL).
After leaving the Gaia House community, I trained as a mindfulness teacher—first at Bangor University, then at the University of Exeter. I began working as a mindfulness and meditation teacher, leading both Buddhist and mindfulness retreats.
My path of study and practice in Buddhist Dharma continued with Bodhi College, where I completed the Committed Dharma Practitioners Programme (CDPP) in 2017. I subsequently entered the Bodhi College Dharma Teacher Training Programme, and in 2022, I graduated as a Dharma teacher.
Throughout this journey, my love for philosophy remained alive. In 2022, I completed my training as a philosophical counsellor at the Escuela de Filosofía Sapiencial (School of Sapiential Philosophy) with Mónica Cavallé.
Today, I lead mindfulness and Buddhist meditation retreats, and also work one-to-one, offering mentoring and counselling therapy.
