About me

Since childhood, I have always had a deep curiosity, and from an early age, I began contemplating the great questions of life. This passion for knowledge initially led me to train as a scientist. However, this path changed due to a traumatic childhood, followed by an existential crisis.

I suffered from many fears and psychological difficulties, including a lack of confidence and an inability to recognise and express my emotions. I was dissociated from my body, unable to connect and relate genuinely with others, and weighed down by shame.

After graduating in biochemistry, I abandoned the world of science and embarked on a journey of psychological and emotional healing, and on a search for meaning in my life.

I also returned to college, this time to study philosophy, while simultaneously exploring yoga traditions, personal growth, and Buddhist meditation.

After completing my philosophy degree, I moved to the United Kingdom, where I began training as a psychotherapist while working first as a healthcare assistant and later as a mental health nursing assistant in various hospitals.

During that time, I visited Gaia House, a Buddhist meditation retreat center in Devon, several times. I participated in numerous group, personal, and work retreats of varying durations and decided to join the residential community that manages the centre on a day-to-day basis. I lived at Gaia House for three years, working as a volunteer coordinator. My experience of community living, service practice, and contact with several Dharma teachers broadened my understanding of meditation and enriched me as a person. I then trained as a Gaia House Community Dharma Leader (CDL).

I also trained as a mindfulness teacher, first at Bangor University and then at the University of Exeter. I began working as a mindfulness and meditation teacher, leading retreats at The Barn Retreat Centre and Sharpham House.

I embarked on a path of studying and practicing Buddhist Dharma and meditation with Bodhi College, completing the Committed Dharma Practitioners Programme (CDPP) in 2017. Following that, I participated in the Bodhi College Dharma Teacher Training Programme, and in 2022, I was finally authorised to teach the Dharma.

Throughout this journey, I never forgot my love for philosophy. In 2022, I completed my training as a philosophical counsellor at the Escuela de Filosofía Sapiencial (School of Sapiential Philosophy) with Mónica Cavallé.

In addition to my philosophical counselling training, I have also completed a Graduate Certificate in Psychosynthesis Foundations at the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust, and a Core Process Psychotherapy Foundation Course at The Karuna Institute. I have also trained as a Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher at the Sussex Mindfulness Centre.

Today, I lead mindfulness and Buddhist meditation retreats and facilitate wisdom philosophy workshops and philosophical dialogues. I also offer individual mentoring, coaching, and counselling therapy.
